New Lead Law
Statewide meetings to be held on new lead law. The Illinois Department of Public Health Lead Program is holding meetings on a federal lead law that goes into effect April 22, 2010. The law requires contractors, property managers, and/or others paid to replace windows or renovate homes, apartments and child-occupied facilities built before 1978 to be certified with the U.S. EPA.
